


OVERVIEW
FUWA FUWA is a beauty brand born from the Clean Girl makeup culture, which emphasizes natural beauty. It was created with the belief that even minimal makeup can highlight the skin’s natural clarity while allowing each individual’s character to come through effortlessly.
TONE & SHADE, MADE FOR YOU
To clearly communicate FUWA FUWA’s core message, we developed a broad shade system that embraces all skin tones, along with a customer experience driven kit. The FUWA FUWA shade system includes a total of 30 foundation shades and 18 lip shades, carefully categorized into warm, cool, and neutral tones. In addition, we built a structured tone and shade guide and translated it into a tangible product by developing a tone and shade kit that can be seamlessly integrated into the brand’s offerings.
The FUWA FUWA branding project focused on carefully building the entire brand experience, from brand identity to product and packaging design, as well as catalogs. Every touchpoint was considered, from the moment the product is used to its texture, application, and visual appeal. The goal of this project was to make the process of finding the right makeup feel rewarding, while also delivering enjoyment through color, texture, and packaging.

FUWA FUWA’s logo was designed around soft curves and rounded forms. The logotype is divided into three main variations, allowing it to be flexibly applied across different media.



COLOR SYSTEM
The color system was applied differently across product categories. Face products are based on nude tones, while lip products focus on a nude and pink centered palette. While the overall brand is unified under a single tone and mood, each category maintains its own distinction in a natural and cohesive way.

Following the branding phase, we developed a tone and shade palette for the FUWA FUWA product line. The foundation(Mesh Blur Cushion) features 30 color shades, while the lip products(Tints) consist of 18 shades plus 1 independent color. The palette is systematically categorized into cool, warm, and neutral tones, and further refined by brightness levels.

Then, we proceeded with the product form design and structural development. After completing the 3D modeling, we focused on lighting, texturing, and camera composition to produce imagery with a refined and sensorial mood. The product lineup we designed consists of four items in total: one Mesh Blur Cushion and three Tints.
In addition, we generated model imagery using AI, which successfully completed the overall mood of the FUWA FUWA project.
