DESIGN RESEARCH: Packaging Series NO.01
Introducing Calipotatoshop’s new internal project for 2026 "DESIGN RESEARCH: Packaging Series".
We have always envisioned experimental packaging forms. Specifically, our goal was to move beyond standard, off-the-shelf boxes and explore structures that truly highlight the unique appeal of the product inside. Through this project, we are officially bringing those ideas to life. In addition to developing new dielines, we plan to document practical insights for production, such as mass-producibility and loading efficiency. By evaluating and grading these factors, we aim to compile our findings into a comprehensive publication. We are pleased to unveil the first installment, NO.01.
NO.01 features a basic packaging design containing a cube-stack structure. We developed high-resolution paper texturing using 3D tools, which was then extracted as images for printing. This minimalist design is characterized by a tactile, weathered texture paired with bold typography.
Starting with fundamental forms like NO.01, we intend to expand our research into more experimental shapes.
